Don’t know if this was ever posted here, but I just saw it for the first time. My enjoyment of Season 1 didn’t begin to prepare me for the ever-swelling insanity that this show would become.
Pretty sure it was posted when 24 wasn’t delayed for a year. The board revamp might have erased the thread.
When I first saw this trailer months ago I must have been so stoked to see Tony back that I overlooked the presence of Nick Chinlund. Bonus.
As awful as season 6 was, absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder.
The new cast wallpaper that surfaced a few days ago was really bad.
Lots of photoshopped faces.
Tee-hee, you ain’t kidding:
Buchanan looks like some sort of super-cool magician. Plus it reminds me that Garofalo is in the cast. Nuts.
But still, more Bob Gunton. Can’t argue with that.
Eh, my anticipation for 24 has waned considerably. Season 3 was the last time the series left me wanting for more. The last few seasons have been almost laughably bad.
As I believe i said in an earlier thread, 24’s concept has gotten old and ludicrous. The very notion that all these incredible events could actually happen over a 24 hour period is perposterous.
Doesnt look as bad as the Lost season 4 DVD case.
Is that an official promo?
That looks bad even on the Myers-scale.
But how is that restarted production affecting the 10+ episodes already in the can for a year? Are they gonna scrap and start from scratch or are they just continuing filming?
They’re not going to scrap whatever has already been filmed of season 7. As long as no one in the cast dies or has had some sort of major facial scarring it shouldn’t be hard for them to pick up filming where they left off.
Haven’t heard anything lately about the “prequel” TV movie scheduled for the fall. I assume there will be some news about that when FOX unveils their fall lineup.
For better or for worse, this is Die Hard the TV show. I am at peace with that.
I love how they had Kiefer in the beginning.
“Hi. This is a real trailer, not yet another fake fan-made gay one. This is the real deal.”

Most of the seasons have felt Die Hard-lite.
I’ve been finishing off a re-watch of S1 on DVD this week, and really enjoying it (just wish they’d given Diamond Phillips more time before… you know).
Sadly, I’ve barely cared about the show for the last couple of years. I’d actually never bothered to watch that S7 teaser until just now, but it doesn’t do much for me. I mean, Kurtwood Smith is great and all, but otherwise, eh. Die Harder knock-off, and sullying the memory of Soulpatch. I’ll watch via downloads and whatnot, but it has definitely lost its luster for me.
Also, I bought the PS2 game on the cheap recently, and I figure I’ll play that at some point for the cutscenes. Anyone ever try it?
I remember seeing most of Season 1 and 2 and then losing interest after that.
However I always enjoyed the fact I used to live near the furniture Kim and her friend traipse through in Season 1. That and Jack saving the Northridge Fashion Center from a gas attack in Season 5, I think.

I haven’t. Those games always sound great when I first hear about them in development and then they’re trashed by everybody I know who has played them once they’re released. Same thing goes for the “Sopranos” and “Shield” games.
24 was definitely a cut above those two games because it was at least 75% finished before being shipped as opposed to 19%. I don’t remember much about it, but it had some decent-to-good presentation that was ruined by awful controls and graphical glitches.

Anything memorable about the voice work apparently done by Tom Sizemore?
Nothing that I remember. I probably made it a quarter of the way through (I stopped after the “Help Kim escape CTU undetected” mission).
The 24 game was semi-decent. someone is selling it on Amazon for $2.98 plus about $4 in shipping. It’d be worth that if you’re curious.

Nope, clearly a road. I’d doubt the Lincoln Memorial people would like to be in the path of a screaming 737.
